Meet Lynn Gorman Bakos
Owner & Instructor

Lynn Gorman Bakos, ARIA certified riding instructor, owner of Renegade Farm. Lynn also has a B.Sc degree in Elementary Education from Ohio State Univ. and has taught grades 4 through 8. She has been riding horses for over 30 years, shown successfully in Ohio and on local NY circuits, winning year end Championships in many divisions. Lynn rides both Western & Hunt seat and studied under Eve Mainwaring, a member of the Horsewomen 's Hall of Fame and former Olympic rider. Lynn has trained many of her own horses and emphasizes safety throughout the curriculum. All horses used in the programs are either owned by Lynn or boarded at Renegade Farm.Renegade Farm Gift Certificates

Summer Camp
Renegade Farm , during the summer months, offers summer camp for the riding enthusiaist. You can choose from the 3 day camp or 5 day camp. The days, dates and times of camp are now available. The price for the 3 day and 5 day camp has been reduced this year and enrollement is limited to 5 students per session. See the Summer Day Camp section and the application page to join the fun.

Renegade Farm, located in the western part of Schenectady County, has been in operation since 1996. Over the years. it has been home to many Champion riders, both English and Western, on the local circuits. Currently, Renegade Farm offers full care boarding, 40+ acres of lush green pasture, a hedgerow, many trees and a running stream. Separate turn out areas are available as well as a separate pony pasture with its own lush pasture and run-in shed. For your riding pleasure, we have access to miles of trails, a large outdoor riding ring and an indoor lighted arena. Don't need a stall? Renegade Farm also offers "Rough Board" or Pasture Board for your equine companion. The horses receive all the benefits of stall boarding sans a stall. On pasture board the horses are outside 24/7.
Renegade Farm is home to the Millenium Pony of the Year, Pippin. He has won many championships and taken his riders to
many blues as well. He is a versatile pony and takes good care of his riders. His small stature (13H) only adds to his personality. Pippin rides both English and Western, does leadline through jumping with ease. He is pictured above in leadline during the 2009 Fun Show. Look for Pippin in the show ring in 2011.Renegade Farm offers English and Western riding lessons by a certified riding instructor, Lynn Bakos. Beginning level through advanced are offered. Lessons are offered Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Do you wish to have more riding time than just in your lessons? Renegade Farm offers 1/4, 1/2 and full leases of our lesson horses and ponies. Leases provide the additional time to ride where you can practice your skills, or just enjoy hacking out.
